On behalf of our Village Board, Management Team, and Community Development Department, thank you for your interest in the Village of Algonquin. The Village of Algonquin, Illinois (the “Village”) is seeking Qualifications/Proposals for the redevelopment of ±0.2 acre property located in downtown Algonquin at the northeast corner of South Main Street and Washington Street. The developer will either remodel the existing building or demolish and construct a new building with the intent of bringing a new restaurant user to downtown.

RFQ/P Schedule
The selection process for the Request for Qualifications/Proposals includes the following steps. The village's goal is to negotiate a Redevelopment Agreement on or before April 1, 2025, with the intent to have the preferred development team deliver an end-user six to twelve months later. Please note that dates are subject to change.
Publication and Distribution of the RFQ/P: Monday, October 7, 2024
Village hosts an on-site information open house*: Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Individual walk-throughs* (based on staff availability): Friday, October 18, 2024 – Friday, November 15, 2024. Walk-throughs may be scheduled by emailing PatrickKnapp@Algonquin.org

QUESTIONS
According to NICOR, the existing natural gas service line is a 19’ 1” service line with a meter capacity of 1.2 million btu’s. This gas line is attached to the gas main under Washington Street.
